Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the TiGo application you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TiGo Rides. If you do not agree, do not use the TiGo app or services. TiGo reserves the right to update these Terms at any time with reasonable notice to users.

2. About TiGo

TiGo Rides is a ride-share platform connecting riders who need transport with independent driver service agents in Tobago, Trinidad & Tobago. TiGo is a technology platform — we do not provide transportation services directly. Transportation is provided by independent driver service agents who provide services through the TiGo platform.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use TiGo
• You must be a resident of or visitor to Tobago, Trinidad & Tobago
• You must have a valid phone number capable of receiving app notifications
• You must agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy
• You must not be prohibited from using TiGo under any applicable law

4. User Accounts

To access TiGo's services you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, maintain the security of your password, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. TiGo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Rider Terms

When you book a ride through TiGo you agree to be present at your stated pickup location, treat your driver with respect and courtesy, wear your seatbelt for the duration of every ride, and not request rides for illegal purposes.

Fares are calculated based on distance and time as displayed in the app before booking confirmation. TiGo accepts both cash and digital payments (card and in-app wallet). You may cancel a ride before your driver arrives without penalty.

6. Driver / Service Agent Terms

Drivers register with TiGo as independent service agents, not as employees, and provide transportation services using their own vehicle. To be approved as a driver, you must meet TiGo's eligibility and verification requirements, including:

• A valid driver's license and a vehicle that is 2015 or newer and in roadworthy condition
• Required documentation: proof of address, driver's license, certificate of character, and, where the vehicle is not registered in your name, a signed authorization letter for vehicle use
• Completion of TiGo's application review, which may include a digital document review and an in-person document and vehicle inspection

You agree to keep your profile, documents, and vehicle information accurate and current at all times, and to notify TiGo promptly of any change, including a change of vehicle, license renewal, or change of address. Approval as a driver is at TiGo's discretion and is not guaranteed.

Riders may pay by cash, collected directly by the driver, or by digital payment, collected by TiGo. Commission, settlement, and payout terms are set out in your Driver Agreement and Driver Guide provided at onboarding. Drivers may accept or decline individual ride requests and are not guaranteed a minimum number of rides or a minimum level of earnings.

7. Refunds

Refunds for digital payments are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. Please refer to that policy for eligibility, timeframes, and how to request a refund.

8. Rider Conduct

The following behaviours will result in immediate account suspension:

• Physical or verbal abuse of any driver
• Damage to a driver's vehicle
• Threatening, intimidating, or discriminatory behaviour toward any person
• Fraud or misuse of the TiGo platform

9. Driver Conduct

The following behaviours will result in immediate account suspension:

• Physical or verbal abuse of any rider
• Unsafe or reckless driving
• Discriminatory refusal of a ride based on a rider's race, religion, gender, disability, or destination
• Operating a vehicle that does not meet TiGo's requirements or has failed inspection
• Allowing any other person to accept or complete rides using your driver account
• Fraud, fare manipulation, or misuse of the TiGo platform

10. Ratings

After each ride, riders and drivers can rate each other. You agree to provide honest and fair ratings. Ratings cannot be edited once submitted. TiGo reserves the right to remove ratings that violate our community standards.

11. Prohibited Uses

• Violating any applicable law or regulation of Trinidad & Tobago
• Harassing, abusing, or harming any driver, rider, or TiGo employee
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to TiGo systems or data
• Using the platform for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose
• Soliciting drivers to complete rides outside the TiGo platform
• Reproducing, distributing, or reverse engineering any part of the TiGo app

12. Limitation of Liability

TiGo is a technology platform connecting riders and independent driver service agents. TiGo is not liable for the actions or omissions of any driver, for any personal injury or property damage arising from a ride, or for delays caused by traffic or road conditions. TiGo's total liability to any user shall not exceed the value of the ride in dispute. Nothing in these Terms limits TiGo's liability for fraud or gross negligence.

13. Intellectual Property

All content within the TiGo application — including the TiGo name, logo, design, and software — is the exclusive property of TiGo Rides. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use any TiGo intellectual property without prior written consent.

14. Termination

TiGo may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that poses a risk to the safety of our community. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@tigoridestt.com.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of TiGo shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Trinidad & Tobago.
